Accessibility: | The cemetery is located off the Waterloo-Smith Church Road on a knoll overlooking the Baker bridge crossing of Poplar Fork at what was earlier known as Sea Flats. Just before arriving at the creek bottom where the bridge is, you'll see a gated, well-kept gravel drive up the side of the hill on the north (left) side of the road. That is the drive to the cemetery (and private access for the current land owner - please do not block the drive). The cemetery is located a short distance up the drive on the right side as you crest the hill. An easy walk up the hill if you park at the road (little to no parking available - choose carefully), and the cemetery itself is on a gentle slope. | |

Dates or names in Red
are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on
death date or are as a result of research on the individual.
<< Some of the many unmarked graves (and marked with fieldstones) - these not far from Ellis Harris' grave Below: The gate along Waterloo-Smith Church Road - generally closed, but not usually locked. It was very early in the day (6:30 a.m.) when we took photos at this cemetery, so we opted to park at the roadside outside the gate and walk up the hill. The photo looking back at the car is about half way up the hill - not that far to walk to the cemetery. (Click on photos to enlarge) |
