Cemetery is divided into six sections (see Fairplain Cemetery – Section locations).
Graves are identified with a Section Id, a Row ID and a grave ID. The north/south Rows are numbered from east to west in each section. Graves are numbered from 01 from the south of each row to the north end of the row in that section. Grave Location map links hopefully will get one to within a couple of feet of each grave, worst case probably within 20 feet of the actual grave. Although care was taken in recording the row and sequence of each grave, there is the possibility of the row being off by plus or minus one. The location of grave 01 for each row is thought to be accurate, as well as the northern most grave for each row. The location for grave 02 to the last grave is estimated based on the satellite aerial view, except for a few large graves easily identifiable from the satellite aerial view. The GPS locations are for the center of the gravestone.
This cemetery has associated with it seven Annotated Maps, one for each section with two for the northwest (NW) section. These maps show the name(s) inscribed on the tombstone or footstone printed beside the specific stone. While great care has been taken to be accurate, it is likely that some errors may exist, or graves are missing as new graves are being added on a regular basis. Each map, if printed, fits on a Super B size sheet (13x19 inch). Names in white typically indicate a tombstone, names in yellow indicate a footstone or ground stone. FS indicates a footstone for a person with a nearby tombstone. Maps are JPEG and about one-half a Mb. Following are links to the annotated section maps:

Three indices have been created in addition to the html pages. The first is an index of the names sorted
by cemetery section, row within the section (from east to west) and position of the grave (from south to north). The second is an index by
Birth Surname (Maiden Surname) and Given name, the third is by Tombstone Surname and Given Name. These are shown as follows:
Index by Section, Row, Grave
Index by Birth Surname, Given Name
Index by Tombstone Surname, Given Name
