Comments:

Dates in Red are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a result of research on the individual.

Per WPA reading in March 1940, established in 1905 as a family burial ground, covering approx. 1/8 acre, with no restrictions as to type and placing of markers - not fenced, not landscaped and in very good condition. Lots were not marked and graves were marked by monuments and mortician's marker. No lots for sale, no burial records kept, and was in active use as a burial ground. Earliest stone was dated 1907. There were 4 marked graves and 17 unmarked graves.

In March 2009, the cemetery was still in active use - being cared for, very well, by the Ashley family.

WVCPA thanks contributor Reggie Watson for gathering and sharing the information and photos for this cemetery for posting on this page!
