Comments: Dates in Red are either calculated based on age at death and death date, or from further research on the individual done by either WVCPA staff or family researchers. This cemetery was last cataloged by Charles Ray Harper and Ron Roberts in December 1983 for the Upper Vandalia Historical Society.

More recent research results provided by local historians that regularly contribute to WVCPA has turned up that the correct name of this cemetery is "Pitchford", not Pittsford, despite the recorded names on the tombstones. Apparently this stems from a need that developed between two "Pitchford" brothers who needed differing spellings of their names to facilitate deliveries to their respective stores many years ago. As more information regarding this becomes available, we will provide more details as appropriate on this page.

Our thanks to all the family researchers who have contributed additional background information on these individuals to date, including Kathy Pence, Marieda Edens, and Elouise Harrison.
