Comments:

Dates in Red are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a result of research on the individual.

Comments from cemetery researcher, Penny Tucker:

"This is an old cemetery - there haven't been any burials here since probably 1936.  There are about a dozen or so stones and rocks that look to be markers for more graves. This cemetery is on the very tip top of a hill.  The only way I've ever got to it was by foot.  You could probably gain access by 4-wheeler."

From WVCPA:

This is the family cemetery of James William and Josephine Painter, married in October 1877 in Jackson Co., WV. According to census records in 1900, 1910 & 1920, they were the parents of Ernestine, Mirtie, Stacie, Brady, Lilly and Barney (spellings may be incorrect, as these vary in the census records). There may have been other children that died young and were not recorded in the census records.
