Big Cherry Cemetery, Putnam Co., WV

Dates in Red are not inscribed on the tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a result of research on the individual.

The photos on this page are thanks to the efforts and contributions of family researcher Jo Ann Wolfe (a descendant of Rev. William Wolfe buried here) and Putnam County WVCPA volunteer and long-time contributor, Terry McCallister. The photo to the left, just below the "Comments" tag, is a photo of Jo Ann and some of her family members at the grave of Rev. William Wolfe in the 1930's (she's the cute gal sitting in front of the stone!).

Big Cherry Cemetery, as you will note by some of the burial dates listed above, is still being actively used by the residents of the Poca area. It is, however, sadly neglected for the most part and greatly in need of tender loving care.
