From Point Pleasant, West Virginia, follow Rt.
62N to CR 1-1, Potters Creek Road. Travel
Potters Creek Road for approximately 3/4 mile to
the first barricaded road on the left side of
the road. This is near the area of the "Storage
Bunkers". Park near Potters Creek Road at the
first barricade on the left. Follow the old
road to the end (North, approximately 1200
yards). The road will start a gradual turn to
the right (East).
At this point veer slightly NW for approximately
100 yards until a deep ravine and small creek
are found. Once across the creek, travel 3/4 of
the distance up the mountain. The cemetery is
slightly to the right (East), approximately
400'. An alternate, easier route is to cross the
field behind the Kirkland Memorial Gardens,
going to the old bridge abutment then on up the
hill. When the leaves are off the trees, you can
use the Mason County School barn as a point of
reference - the back of it is easily visible
from the cemetery.
