Easy Access. From Letart, head west on Co Route 15/Sandhill Rd toward Joe Roush for 2.9 miles. Turn slight left onto Co Route 9/Broad Run to Vernon Church for 0.5 miles. Cemetery is on left beside the church.

The butterfly is a Red Spotted Purple which happened to land on the flowers beside a tombstone I was photographing. If you look closely near the tips of the forewings, you can see a few red spots. This is a relatively rare butterfly (Limenitis orthenis astaynax), but quite beautiful.
