This
cemetery is located alongside the road, a short distance from the
old Gunville store on Gunville Ridge road, on the farm originally
owned by Adam and Margaret McClure. When visited in 2004, it was enclosed by a
chain link fence - an area about 10'x10'. Easily accessible all times
of the year, though parking is limited to the road or a nearby
driveway when visiting, as there is little to no shoulder past the
pavement, and shallow (but potentially muddy during or after a rain)
ditches right alongside the road.
** Condition of cemetery as observed on the given date -
may not be representative of care at other times of the year Scale: Excellent - Good - Fair - Poor - Abandoned

Comments:
Dates
in Red are not inscribed on the
tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a
result of research on the individual.
While
there are only two tombstones present, and only the two associated graves
visibly present in this cemetery, four other graves are reportedly known
to be here (ref. ¹ "Mason County, W.Va.
Cemetery Inscriptions", Vol. III, reading by Juanita Burdette in
1968). It is presently unknown who these other four people
were. If any of our viewers know for a fact who it was that was also
buried here, please let us know and we will post that information on this
page.
