Notes from WVCPA volunteer, Charlotte Iman in
January 2009:
"The Knopp Cemetery is
an abandoned cemetery in the McClintic Wildlife Management Area, Robinson
District, Mason County, West Virginia.
One inscribed monument indicates that it
was started about 1832, but may possibly be older.
The cemetery contains approximately 19
graves, 8 have legible markers, 2 revealed some
information when examined closely. One small monument revealed no
information. Nine fieldstones of varying size were found, I believe two
were intended as foot markers One depression with no visible marker was
also found. The cemetery was in very poor condition."
