Cemetery Reading - In progress

Cemetery Name:

Hurlow-Gill

County: Mason
USGS Quad: Mount Alto
Coordinates: unknown
Maintained by: unknown
Land owner: unknown
Date added to WVCPA register: February 2012
Condition of cemetery**: unknown (February 2012)
Accessibility: Directions (per 2006): From State Route 2 when headed toward Ripley, turn left onto Gill Ridge Road (County Road 18) maybe a quarter mile beyond the Rollins Wrecker Service
base and Garage. Drive up a steep hill. Proceed until you drive through under the big, big power line on towers that spans the road, go past a red brick house and metal-clad barn on the right and follow a new 6-strand fence into a curve in the road (there is presently a smaller
shed where the fence corners) go to the first dirt drive-way area beyond the fence corner and park your vehicle. The cemetery is back through that field on the right (the field is actively worked - so wear your high-top boots). After a short walk you should be able to see some of the tombstones. As always, as a courtesy, check with the nearby landowner before crossing their field.

** Condition of cemetery as observed on the given date -
may not be representative of care at other times of the year
