With prior permission, you may park at the Cottrill home by the garage - the path to the cemetery is through the gate to the right and back of the garage. Out of courtesy, please check in at Cottrill's home before walking back to the cemetery to let them know you're there and for what reason.
Note: Mrs. Cottrill passed away in January 2008, and we do not know precisely who the present owner is. We advise stopping at the house anyway, and if there is no answer, you may want to check in with the neighbor across the street (her brother Gene) before hiking back into the property. As more information becomes available regarding access, we will post it here.

Work completed under auspices of WVCPA: Initial clean-up and photo-survey of this cemetery was completed in early October 2006 with the assistance of Connie Hitchings and June Edge from Ohio.  Much work remains to be done to finish clearing the cemetery and keep it maintained.  June and Connie hope to do just that with the assistance of their families. We will continue to offer our assistance when and where we can. Our thanks to Connie for bringing this cemetery to our attention, and for contributing many of the photos that have been used on this page.
Photos from walk in to the cemetery (with directional instructions from Connie):
Edward Greenlee Cemetery, Mason Co., WV << "This is a picture of the peoples mailbox and address on Leon-Baden Road.
The driveway down which the cemetery is located is just left of these boxes.
I would guess this cemetery is a mile off the road and in the woods, up a hill."
Edward Greenlee Cemetery, Mason Co., WV << "If you followed the tree line on your right if you are arriving, the trees are in the
shape of an L. In this picture you are just seeing a part of the shortest part of
the L.  You have to go almost to where it makes the bend or the corner of the
     L shape."
Edward Greenlee Cemetery, Mason Co., WV << "This shows where we went into the woods.  It is more of a path than it looks
like in this picture.  This path has several hickory nut trees.
The path into the woods bears to the left and you will see the Greenlee
Cemetery sign.  This is not very far into the woods." (The cemetery sign is in
the photo at the top of this web page) - from the field, it is on the uphill side
opposite the creek, just before you cross a little rocky run near the cabin.
You'll see a fairly obvious opening in the trees where four-wheelers have
re-opened a trail in recent years.
Edward Greenlee Cemetery, Mason Co., WV << The cemetery is in the woods to the left in this photo, taken on the walk back
out to Leon-Baden Road. (June and her uncle Owens Corfee in the photo from
     August 2006)
Edward Greenlee Cemetery, Mason Co., WV << "Not too far from the sign you will see this
dead tree." This is a huge old pine tree,
much of it rotted away with time. It has been
used for years as an identifying marker to
      help locate the cemetery.
