Gilboa Cemetery is located 3 miles north of Barrackville on CR 21, then 1.1 miles west on Gilboa Road (CR 21-1) to Gilboa Church Road (CR 24-3) . It is situated on a rise southwest of that intersection, just west of the right hand branch of Dunkard Mill Run. Gilboa Cemetery is often shown on maps and elsewhere as "Gilbor" cemetery.

A 10-rod square (5/8 acre) piece between properties originally purchased and settled on by Lindsay Boggess, Sr. (1810) & Samuel Upton (1811) was deeded on their behalf on February 15, 1859 by current owners Lindsey Boggess, Jr. & Elias Dudley to the trustees of Giboah [sic] meeting house for use as a burying ground.

In September 2004, the cemetery was largely overgrown with saplings and vines. Most grave stones were in good condition, but needed to be cleaned. Several stones need to be re-set. A couple of the oldest stones are well worn and a some need further repairs.

Much of the cemetery was cleared in September 2004, but grave stones were left "as is" until such time as additional clearing, cleaning and repairs can be done (hopefully in 2005).

This appears to be Byrd E. Sale, daughter of Charles Sale & Nellie M. Toothman (who was the daughter of James Toothman & Christina Dudley). Byrd Sale married O. E. Nester (possibly son of Amos L. Nester/Nestor & Nicey Ruhannah Annis Boner) and had daughter Ova. This may be the same Byrd, who later married a Morris.
