Comments:
Dates
or text in Red are not inscribed on the
tombstone and have either been calculated based on death date or are as a
result of research on the individual.
WVCPA thanks faithful contributors Charlotte
and Steve Iman for the photos and research for this page. They comment,
regarding the cemetery as they found it in May 2010:
"The current owners of the property are Danny
and Cathy Belcher, Mr. Belcher maintains the cemetery, via an agreement
with Litton descendants. Mr. Belcher states "approximately 30 years
ago, employees hired to mow the cemetery removed many field stone
markers, placed them in a pile, never to be replaced." Mr. Belcher was
very helpful locating the access path to the second Litton
Cemetery near the same area.
Due to the stones being removed it is
impossible to determine the exact number of graves. Monuments
bearing information for 11 individuals were found"
