The following comments from WVCPA volunteer,
Charlotte Iman:
"This is a single grave, located very close to Center View Road (19-5). Many legends are associated with the grave, some name the individual as G. H. Cloud, others have said it was the grave of J. D. Cloud, J. H. McCloud was also used. All accounts agree that 1860 was also inscribed on the original marker. The current marker does not appear to be engraved. One individual said it was the grave of an unknown Native American boy, another account states that it was the grave of a child, killed accidentally by his father while storing a Single Tree (item used to connect a load to a horse for pulling, usually wooden with steel hooks and eyes).
Directions: From Charleston travel I-77
North to Kenna, (exit 124), turn right onto CR-19, follow CR-19 for 1.7
miles to Center View Road (CR-19-5). Turn right onto CR 19-5, travel
approximately 1 mile, the grave is very close to the left side of
the road."
